Just remembered, I think it was the emitter guard, did not print flat from the file for some reason, I initially thought that it was tapered, but on close inspection in a CAD package it wasn't, I had to reproduce the shape and file for a clean result.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks! I'd love to see the print by the way!

The only other thing if your altering the design is to build in a support wall on the outer grip that can then be removed, only becasue the part is thin and some of the supports can fail if the head catches them on a movement, I slowed down the speed on this part and added some tape every now and again just to help retain the build state. But was a pleasing part when finished. I need to ask my hub job for a finished photo of the model all painted up.

Thanks! I've been thinking about going back and trying to fillet some of those corners because it does require some support to get those absolutely clean, I just need to take a break from making more!

I built this lightsaber as a job for somebody on my Hub, it was a nice model, although the emitter did need a couple of builds to get the supports right to get a nice set of edges on the curved pockets. I agree to check your orientation of the models to suit you preferences. But it fitted together nicely. A good design.
